Meteorological Spring may have sprung, but there is plenty of winter weather to spare! Oftentimes I get through miserable situations by laying down a few good and addictive tracks.

Right now I’m caught in a whirlwind of upbeat tunes mixed with songs that get my heart racing. Interestingly enough, there’s always a song that I equate to the Summers of each year. One year, it was Lady Gaga’s Papparazi, another year it was the Finale to Cloud Atlas .

Easily one of my favourite things to listen to, ever.

I’ve been doing the throwback Thursday thing all day. I’ve had my 80's and 90's punk/ska playlist doing it’s thing, keeping me going. Operation Ivy, The Vandals, Social Distortion, Dead Kennedys, Madness, Black Flag, Pennywise, Mustard Plug, and so on.

It’s been a good day.

Got some travel plans in the near future. Heading off to NZ with an old friend for a week where we’ll be driving down the north island. I’ll spend a few weeks at work before heading off to a festival with other friends.

Of course, the other major question is do I save up for the Miata’s bumper damage or just pocket the money for upgrades?

I recently discovered a local band that just released a 6 song ep. It’s on their label’s bandcamp page as well as Amazon and anywhere else for $6. They channel some Siouxsie Sioux and some of The Smiths. IT kills me that they are so young. I don’t think they can buy alcohol yet.

So it was an eclectic mix and I enjoyed running errands for work.

I’ve been listening to What So Not’s new LP, Not All The Beautiful Things, pretty heavily since it dropped a few weeks ago. The album release/mix Emoh Instead did on Diplo & Friend’s weekly Radio 1 show was a real treat!
